The name of this field can vary depending on vendor. This is the number of ballots that the machine has scanned for all time (similar to a car's odometer.)

When the scanner machine is delivered to the polling place, there is a cover placed over the scanner. This cover is locked and sealed. The seal is meant to protect the scanner from being used to scan ballots outside of business hours. The serial number on the cover security seal changes every day as the OVO cover is removed in the morning and put back on at the end of the day. A new seal is placed on the cover during the closing process since the machine will not be used again until the next day. The OVO Cover security seal number should be recorded at the Start of the day and at the Close of the day. The seal number recorded in the morning should match the seal number that was placed on the OVO machine at the end of the previous day.
The security seal on the back of the OVO machine is meant to secure the ballots that have been scanned/voted. The Back seal will only change when the ballots are removed from the OVO voting machine. During Early voting, the scanner ballots will be emptied when the OVO Voting machine is getting full and the ballot count on the scanner reaches about 3000 or some number under 5000 which is the maximum capacity. When the Back seal is removed, ballots are removed from the OVO Voting machine’s storage tub. If you are the Poll Watcher observing the Closing out of the OVO machine, verify that all the ballots are removed, and the storage tub is empty. There is also an Emergency Box that is used if, for some reason, the scanner is not working. Verify that the emergency box is empty as well.
The Thumb Drive Security Seal Number should be recorded at the Start of each day and at the End of each day. This Security Seal number should be the same at the start of the day and at the end of the day. This ensures that the Thumb Drive has not been changed or tampered with.
